Butters Tipsy Gastropub [Fort]

Butters Tipsy Gastropub is the latest addition to the sprawling pub and food scene in Fort. We visited BTG for dinner the other day and were mind-blown. Though they probably wanted us to be high and tipsy on their amazing (we hear) cocktails, we are high on the delicious food, tipsy and giddy with excitement and satisfaction.

2

From the ambience to music, to food and drinks, Butters gets it right. A beautifully lit mesh of sorts greets you once you enter. As you step upstairs, the bar is what catches your attention first. A modish look overall, it is lit up and well stocked. Did we mention we are fans of how the lights jazz up the entire place? It is dimly lit and yet bright enough. The ambience makes you want to sit back and relax but the music makes you want to groove. The area is spacious and there are different options of seating available.

1

The menu gives us quite a few options. Pick quick bites or chakna combinations and your drinking session is surely sorted. There are Indian snacks like bhajiyas, bhurji pao and drunken bhel. They have sandwiches, baos, burgers, pizza, pasta as well as Indian main course like naan and dal. The full package. They have made a name for themselves for their cocktails, but it is worth mentioning that their mocktails are equally good.

Here is what we got tipsy on, at Butters Tipsy Gastropub –

Bhaji Pao – Bhajiya pao with an option between kanda (onion) bhaji, methi bhaji or cheese pakora. We picked onion bhaji. Crispy fritters that were topped with a little chaat masala and served with a sweet-spicy mint chutney.

3 Cheese Sandwich

3 Cheese Sandwich

Sorry, were we supposed to describe that?

There is cheese, lots of it and three different types of it. Do you know how high that made us? So ya, excuse us if we forgot that we have to describe it 😉 😉

Cheesiness aside, (pun totally intended 😉),  the 3 Cheese Sandwich at BTG is heavenly and loaded for sure. The aroma of cheese coupled with butter made our mouths water. Must try! And it is served with french fries for added happiness and salad if by some cosmic mistake it made you guilty 😉

11
Chef Lampok’s Paneer Satay

Chef Lampok’s Paneer Satay – Soft paneer that is covered with a thick layer of batter and grilled. It has a soothing lemongrass aroma and a slightly charred flavour. It was served with a peanut dip that was slightly on the sweeter side.

Lasooni Palak Paneer aur Naan – This dish features in the desi corner of the menu but it should feature in the Do Not Miss Out corner. Delicious is the word to describe this one. The strong aroma makes your mouth water and threatens the chances of getting a decent picture 😛

It is creamy and has tons of chopped garlic and onions to flavour it up. The paneer pieces are really soft and well marinated and the palak gravy is another level of goodness. Served with naan and papad, this is one meal you must have here.

3
Lasooni Palak Paneer aur Naan

From the mocktails we tried Melon BullTropical Thunder and Gin Cin Apple Jack.

9
Melon Bull and Tropical Thunder

Melon Bull is a mindblowing mix of watermelon juice and red bull. It has a sharp taste and the chunks of watermelon add a little drama to it.  Tropical Thunder is a thunderous concoction of orange and pineapple juice, both in the right proportions to leave a strong punch. This one has a slight tart though grenadine adds a little sweetness. Loved this one too! Gin Cin Apple Jack is slightly on the sweeter side but a fine combination of apple juice infused with cinnamon.

12
Gin Cin Apple Jack

We also tried the Orange and Strawberry Slush which is really good. They have arrived at the perfect balanced flavour of sweetness and sourness in this chilled drink. And the colours! Loved it.

8
Orange and Strawberry Slush

The star of the dinner was the Raspberry and White Chocolate Mousse. My god what a delight this one was. Smooth in texture, not overly sweet and so delectable. The sharp tart of raspberry paired with the slight sweetness of white chocolate gave this heavenly dessert. We licked out spoons till they were spanking clean 😛 This one is definitely a must try at BTG.

Overall Experience: Lip – smacking food, superb ambience, groovy music and good service make BTG a must visit place.

Pravas [Lower Parel]

Pravas means journey or migration and a train is quite essentially synonymous with a journey. Pravas- a restaurant on wheels is our ticket to delicious and lip-smacking Gujarati cuisine.Pravas – Gujarati Kitchen & Bar is the first railway coach themed restaurant in Mumbai, that specialises in Gujarati & Kathiawadi cuisine and serves a really mouth-watering thali combination.

The interiors are beautifully done with gold-ivory work and definitely transport us to when rail coaches were a luxurious experience. The instrumental music being played in the background add to this fine dine affair. Pravas is a recreation of the legendary Palace on Wheels and there also exist quite a few aspects in the restaurant that are a reminiscence of the geography that they want to capture. From the famous Kutch embroidery pieces on the walls to the beautiful copper pitchers and lavers used to wash hands to the umbrellas and lanterns with colourful and intricate embroideries and glass-work, all present the best of Gujarat.

8

15

They have a different thali menu for weekdays and weekends with dishes being rotated to include a huge variety and some seasonal specials. They also have an a-la-carte menu and a variety of cocktails and mocktails.

We started with two of the special seasonal mocktails – Damru Paan and Mango Creme Delight. Paan and refreshing go together and so does mango and summer.  It would be safe to say that we should be playing the damru to tell you how delightful these two were!

4
Mango Creme Delight
7
Damru Paan

Damru Paan is a delicious concoction of the refreshing flavours of paan, gulkand and vanilla in milk. Beetle leaf adds an amazing aroma and flavour to this superb combination. Mango Creme Delight is a very thick and creamy preparation with mango pulp and mint leaves. This is served in an earthen pot and frankly speaking, they couldn’t have done it better!

If our meal begins that well, it has to be a good one! Here is what our weekend thali lunch looked like:

2
Thali at Pravas

We started with the chaat counter and hogged on Pani Puri, Delhi Chaat and Rawa Biscuit Utappam.

16
Rawa Biscuit Utappam

A Gujarati thali is incomplete without delicious sweets and at Pravas, the thali starts with sweets! We were served Ghevar BasundiChurma Ladoo and Anjeer Puran Poli. These are more Rajasthani and Maharashtrian dishes that Gujarati but who are we to complain when they were this delicious? Basundi with bits of crisp Ghevar, this was a perfect delight. It was not very sweet or thick and had the aromatic saffron filled flavour we all love. Churma Ladoo was just as good but a little on the heavier side as was the Puran Poli, owing to the high ghee content.

1
Ghevar Basundi

Starters included Aloo Armani and Dabeli Dhokla. Aloo Armani was scrumptious, hollow potato skins stuffed with a slightly spicy mixture of onions, chillies, ground nuts, among other ingredients, batter coated and shallow fried. This was not oily and tasted so good. Dabeli Dhokla is a sandwich of dhokla with tamarind chutney and spicy coriander-mint chutney.

There were four sabzis/curries – Tamatar Vatana Khandvi which is a preparation in tomato based curry and lots of peas (vatana) and was on the sweeter side. Ringara Nu Olo is baingan-bharta or eggplant/brinjal based preparation and had a non-spicy, smokey flavour. Sev Tamatar Nu Saak was one of the best options with the desi Gujarati style flavours of tomato curry and was topped with thick sev. Kanda Batata Sambaria is onion and potato based sabzi, it was not spicy and neither was it sweet. This was another favourite here!

Kadhi was not like the sweet Gujarati kadhi but was the Rajasthani version of the same which is thick and slightly spicy with red chilli powder and coriander. It was perfect! Surati Dal was slightly on the sweeter side with lots of ginger and onions. We had these with Bajra Roti, Phulkas and Puri and Steam Rice as accompaniments.

Buttermilk (chaas), salad and an assorted papad platter also came with the thali, everything being unlimited. The prices for the Thali are ₹500 (plus taxes) for weekdays (Monday through Thursday) and ₹700 (plus taxes) for weekends (Friday through Sunday).

Mango Creme Delight

Overall Experience: We don’t know how to say this in Gujarati but the food, as well as the service, was amazing! The staff makes sure they attend to every customer personally and you will not leave without overeating from your meal here!

The Battle: Unlimited Thalis are a test of everyone’s capacities and when they start with sweet dishes, suffice to say, it was a long slow battle! Only hope we left something for the other guests! :p

Drama [4 Bunglows, Andheri]

Drama is life with the dull bits cut out – Alfred Hitchcock

And who loves the dull bits? Not us definitely!

In fact, even our visit to Drama was a pretty dramatic one! After a few hiccups, we finally made it to Drama last weekend for a dramatically delicious meal!

10

Drama is located in 4 Bungalows (below Goa Portuguesa and where SoHo Tapas Bar once stood). There are two sections, an AC one with the loud music, open bar, dim light and candles and an outside non-AC one where they serve sheesha. The music is groovy and sets the mood right. They have various events like Bollywood Nights and Sufi Nights. When we visited, the later was jazzing up the ambience.

4

The service at Drama is really good and prompt. The menu has a lot of varieties and an equal spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. One can pick from Tex-Mex to burgers to pizza and even North Indian options.

We started with mocktails – Burst Grape, Drama Queen and Berry Berry.  The presentations are no-nonsense basic ones but the combinations and flavours are perfect. Burst Grape is a fizzy blackcurrant-based mocktail. It has a sharp tangy taste. Drama queen is a mild sweet combination of orange, pineapple and sweet lime juices. It is refreshing. Berry Berry is another fizzy and tangy-sweet mocktail and is strawberry based.

We started with Baked Mozzarella Mushrooms. A delicious and cheesy mixture of mushrooms on a crispy bread just like bruschetta. The flavours are delicate and well balanced. These mushroom mozzarella sticks are delectable and a must try!

11
Baked Mozzarella Mushrooms

Thai Cottage Cheese is a cottage cheese and lemon grass based tikki. Very fragrant, as should be, considering they are loaded with lemon grass and Thai herbs. The tikkis are slightly crisp on the outside and melt at the first bite. The herbed flavours burst in your mouth. These are served with a sweet-spicy dip with lots of chilli flakes, that adds to the sharp flavours.

5
Thai Cottage Cheese

Schezwan Crispy Corn is much like the crispy vegetable starter most of us love, but with sweet corn. Slightly spicy and very crispy corn with lots of veggies and even more spices. It is perfect to keep munching on as you talk and/or sip on your drinks.

6
Schezwan Crispy Corn

Clay Oven Baked Corn Kernel are our favourite. Though the name is pretty confusing, these are basically corn-based kebabs. They had a slightly smokey flavour owing to the clay oven baking and green chillies add the occasional spiciness. These are delicious and literally melt in the mouth. Topped with chaat masala to give them a lip-smacking taste. No accompaniment is necessary but they are served with a coriander and mint chutney.

7
Clay Oven Baked Corn Kernel

The scrumptious starters made our taste buds dance while the live Sufi music made us groove. Not quite full yet, we went for Makai Malai Burger. The patty was slightly crispy outside and was made with soft, succulent cottage cheese and corn. The malai or cottage cheese flavour overpowered the preparation. It was non-spicy. We liked it!

8
Makai Malai Burger

We spotted Dal Makhni and Jeera Rice on the menu and the staff informed us that it was one of their hot selling items, so we called for it. Dal Makni was delicious and had a slightly smokey flavour. It was not overly buttery and hence not very heavy. Rice was mildly fragrant and well-separated. We loved this combination.

12
Dal Makhni and Jeera Rice

Dessert, like drama, is the non-dull bit of the meal and so entered Churros with Chocolate Sauce. These were perfect. The right amount of crispiness on the outside with a soft core, dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. They went so well with the toothsome chocolate sauce. We couldn’t ask for a better climax to the movie! The staff asks for a good 15 minutes for the preparation of the Churros, so be ready to either wait a while or order a little in advance.

9
Churros with Chocolate Sauce.

Overall Experience: We loved the food at Drama and enjoyed the amazing music and friendly service. It is a really good place to unwind with friends.

The Battle: Be ready for quite a few dramatic arguments when your friends take a bite of your food here. They will happen, and if they don’t, remember, the story is not over yet!

SamBar [Khar]

15

Yanna Rascalaa… SamBar is here…Mind It!

In the words of the owners and conceptualizers, Sam Anna is the fun side in each one of us. And SamBar is where you should let this side out!

And SamBar is where you should let this side out!  Vibrant colours, hatke food, kick-ass music and really unique mocktails and cocktails will ensure that you do!

6

13SamBar, a new resto-pub located in Khar is currently the talk of the town and for all the right reasons!

The fun side of the place begins right at the entrance with the bright pink face in its name.

Pink, Blue, Yellow and Green and all the loud colours can be seen in the decor of this place. Walls are covered with chic paintings. There are two sections, indoor section, which also has a projector and live bar counter and the outside seating with kickass music. A football match was being screened indoors when we visited and the entire restaurant had come alive!

8Another awesome thing is that the wait staff is dressed in the traditional Lungi and respond promptly when addressed as Anna.

There are some really good and fun offers on drinks here, like the Anna Hours where the wheel decides if you get a discount or not and if you do, how much.

The cocktail and mocktail menu are really interesting with some crazy blends. The food here is basically South Indian fusion food, some authentic flavours and some dishes with a twist.

The focus is strongly on bringing out the South Indian flavours and spices. The menu is well spread with lots of options for vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians.

You have some desi dishes based on Idli, Gol Bhajji and Appams, and you also get Banana patty burger and Paneer Chettinad pizza!

From the mocktails, we tried –

Virgin Rasam Mary – Yes, Rasam Mary. A very spicy mocktail made with Rasam, which is definitely not everyone’s cup of… Mary?  Imagine Bloody Mary gone Indian. Tomato juice, lime and chilli with Tabasco and Rasam! It was unique, spicy and tangy!
1
Virgin Rasam Mary and Mojito
2
Virgin Caprioska
Virgin Mojito and Virgin Caprioska were both really refreshing and well made.
Virgin Santra Tantra – Ginger, Mint and Orange juice combined together in a refreshing drink and topped with Soda.
Some of the cocktails cannot me made virgin, but some can. You can ask the servers to suggest you one as per your liking!
We started off with Chettinad Idli Chilli, mini idli fried and tossed in a really spicy Chettinad masala. Gravy is made with lots of green and red chilli along with garlic, curry leaves, bell peppers and capsicum. The coconut flavour though strong, does not overpower the spicy masala. The flavours blend well and this one is a really good option to try out!
10
Chettinad Idli Chilli

Gun Powder Idli was bite sized idli sprinkled with gunpowder Masala, the hero of South Indian spices, a dry blended powder with dry chilli, garlic, chickpeas, etc. Topped with lots of sesame seeds, it tasted well alone and with the minty mayonnaise chutney.

12
Gunpowder Idli

We then called for the Veg. Platter with Anna’s Bhajiyas, Pepper Paneer, Aama Wada and Mushroom Churuttu.

Anna’s Bhajiyas were amazing, not very oily and really crispy. Pepper Paneer has really soft pieces of paneer in a mild -spicy pepper based gravy. Aama Wada was banana and corn-based wadas, fried but not very oily. There were on the drier side and tasted really good, especially with the Tamarind and Tomatbased sauce/dip. Mushroom Churuttu is basically mushroom and cheese filled spring rolls. The mushroom has a charred and smokey flavour and the combination with cheese is really delicious.

The platter was served with a tomato & tamarind based dip, a sweet coriander dip and a yoghurt, coriander and chilli dip.

3
Veg Platter – Anna’s Bhajiya, Mushroom Churuttu, Aama Wada and Pepper Paneer
4
Mushroom Churuttu

From the main course, we called for Paneer Chettinad and Appam along with a Neer Dosa.

Paneer Chettinad has mild-spicy but really soft malai paneer pieces in a semi-thick gravy. The Appam was just mind-blowing. We ate most of the appam plain, without any accompaniment. It was soft and made with coconut milk and tasted really good. Neer dosa was good too.

No options for desserts are available.

Overall Experience: Yanna Rascala… very good.. mind it! The service is friendly and prompt, the food is good and not very heavy on the pockets.

Food 🙂

Ambience 🙂

Service 🙂

The Battle: Sam Anna doesn’t like fights. Sam Anna said no fighting, only eating. So we ate. And as we ate the Chettinad style dishes, it was the tears we had to fight with, when things got too heated and spicy! But Sam Anna and we love this type of a battle! Mind it!

MasalaBar [ Carter Road, Bandra]

Food Is Music To Body And Music Is Food To Heart – Gregory Roberts

And we revelled in this music at Masala Bar. An evening full of surprises, to the taste buds and to the soul.

Masala Bar is another feather in the cap of the infamous Kalra duo. Located above CCD at Carter Road, it provides an unrestricted view of the shore, the busy ‘Carter’ road and of course the sunset!

The decor is minimal yet luxe and classy. The seating is spread over a mid-sized area with a very prominent and uniquely done up bar counter that you notice as you step in. Black and brown, Silver and Ivory are the colours that decorate this restaurant. The main items of decor are mirrors and candles, in hexagonal arrangements and enclosures to render an amazing space.

MasalaBar opens at 5 pm and their timing could not have been better considering the theme and location. The entire restaurant is sun-kissed at this hour.

11

Come evening, it transforms so beautifully into an oasis of light! It is dreamy once the entire place is lit up by candles. Just B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. It is one of the places that pull off candles and minimal lights with elan. The warmth that the place breathes due to this lighting will never let you want to leave voluntarily! We were mesmerised!

MasalaBar is one of the places that pull off candles and minimal lights with elan. The warmth that the place breathes due to this lighting will never let you want to leave voluntarily! We were mesmerised!

MasalaBar has recently revamped their entire menu, adding new classy dishes while keeping a few old favourites as well. Change is the only Constant philosophy at work! But are we loving the change? The answer is an astounding Yes!

And here is whay we said ‘Yes’….

Mocktails

Heaven On Earth – A refreshing and tangy combination of Watermelon, Cranberry and Passion Fruit! First, the fruity fragrance hits you and then basil adds freshness to it.

2
Heaven on Earth

Berry Cooler – An amazing blend of Strawberries, Cranberries and Wild Berries and topped up with soda.

1
Berry Cooler

Mulled Masala Punch – A mildly sweet and unique mix of masala tea reduction and orange juice. Tea dominates the flavours in this drink. It was really refreshing, which is a surprise considering the combination is so different!

6
Mulled Masala Punch

Sea Side – If you are a fan of coconut milk in your mocktails, this one is for you. Orange juice, grapefruit and coconut cream, this one is very much on the lines of a pina colada.

15
Sea Side

Salad

Figs and Honey, Carpaccio of Watermelon and Feta Salad – Arugula with a balsamic dressing forms the bed of the salad. Cherry tomatoes, figs and thinly sliced watermelon (carpaccio) along with Feta Cheese are added. The feta was fresh and soft and s delicious. Cherry tomatoes complemented the sweetness of figs well. Watermelon adds freshness to the entire combination. Loved it!

18
Figs and Honey, Carpaccio of Watermelon and Feta Salad

Appetizers

14
Baked Potatoes, Sweet and Spicy Beetroot and Apple, Sweet Fennel Yogurt

Baked Potatoes, Sweet and Spicy Beetroot and Apple, Sweet Fennel Yogurt – Potato skins stuffed with a mixture of beetroot and green apple, topped with cheese and baked. The stuffing is non-spicy and very mildly sweet owing to the beetroots. It has a very strong smokey flavour and fragrance. Dressed with sweet fennel yoghurt and pomegranate seeds. We loved biting into these. Burnt cheese on top does wonders to the filling inside and the combination of potato and cheese is surprisingly good!

3
Baked Potatoes, Sweet and Spicy Beetroot and Apple, Sweet Fennel Yogurt

Carbon Bhaji, Carbon Pav – A black twist to the regular pav bhaji. Carbon Pav Bhaji is prepared by adding edible charcoal to the bhaji as well as to the buns/pav. The bhaji is non-spicy but has very strong presence of garam masala giving it a lip-smacking aftertaste. Very finely mashed potatoes, onions, cilantro, fennel seeds (saunf), tomatoes and lots of garlic and garnished with baby carrots. The bhaji also has very earthy flavour. Pav is fresh and almost of the colour of soot. It well complements the bhaji.

4
Carbon Bhaji, Carbon Pav

Main Course

Asparagus & Bok Choy Biryani, Black Sesame Curd – The biryani is so fragrant that we almost did not wait to click the picture! Asparagus and fried onions did wonders together and left our mouths watering! Biryani is non-spicy and flavourful. There was definitely no need of any accompaniment with the biryani but a spoonful of black sesame curd does not it (on the sweeter side).

16
Asparagus & Bok Choy Biryani, Black Sesame Curd

Desserts

Mango Cardamom Cheese Cake, Banana and Butterscotch Waffle – Now this is what we call ending on a high note! Cardamom base with mango cheesecake. The waffle was crisp and had the perfect butterscotch flavour without being too sweet. Elaichi banana drizzled in caramel added a twist. Strawberry sauce and mango pulp garnish made this a mind-boggling combination! Smooth and creamy, the cheesecake melted in the mouth.  No wonder we were on a sugar high post-gorging on this!

22
Mango Cardamom Cheese Cake, Banana and Butterscotch Waffle

Overall Experience – MasalaBar was a one of a kind experience with delicious food, warm hospitality and beautiful ambience. The wait staff is really friendly and has in-depth knowledge about the entire menu. Ask anyone anything and they will help you with a smile. We were taken care of by Mr Sachin, who explained every dish in detail and served us wholeheartedly.

The Battle: 5 calls from home were what made us finally get up and leave this restaurant. You will not want to leave voluntarily, trust us on that! And the delicious food doesn’t help either!

8

P.S.: Go here at least a little before the sun sets, the view and ambience are amazing and you get to see how the place transforms!

Someone said – The only way to see the Sunset, is to ride into it! But after experiencing MasalaBar, we can safely say – One of the best ways to see the Sunset, is to dine alongside it!  😍

TRE Laze. Vapour. Buoyant [Lower Parel]

lrm_export_20170201_000824

TRE – TRE is for ‘Three’ – the three pleasures this place wants to provide – Sheesha, Food & Cocktails.

And do they succeed? Well, we can vouch for the food and cocktails for sure!

The lounge has two levels, the open rooftop area is one where the sheesha action is. while the indoor section has the bar where all the cocktail magic happens. There is a live DJ as well and they also set up the stage (not literally) for people to perform. A new band was showcasing their creations when we visited.

The service is prompt and courteous. TRE has a vegetarian-only menu which is not very spread and the reason being that they plan to revamp their menu often and bring forward some kickass new dishes each time. Their main focus in on finger food and have quite a variety in the same.

What they are becoming famous for are their Cheesecake and Cocktails.

Why?

We will indulge you on that question!

New York Cheese Cake – Take a bite of this goodness and you will know why! They prepare the cheesecake from the scratch in house. The delicious creamy texture and the soft yet firm base! And heavenly to taste! A must must try here!

img_20170128_193628_20170131100419710
New York Cheese Cake

The cocktail menu is rather intriguing – the house blends, we mean. At first, you will be tempted to read again. Tamarind and Mango? I am probably checking the mocktail menu. But no, you are checking the Cocktail menu alright! They have added an Indian twist to their cocktails with ingredients like paan, coriander, mango or tamarind.

Pan Angoori – A Gin based cocktail with a strong flavour of paan. It has the aroma and the strong rustic-sweet taste that lingers on your palate. You feel the alcohol but the focus is on the paan.

img_20170128_193735_20170131100510474
Paan Angoori and Fresh Mandarin Mojito

Cinova – Pineapple + Ginger + Coriander + Smirnoff.

Confused? Don’t be. This is another one of their crazy infusions. Vodka with the desi flavours. The fresh flavours conceal the typical smell of vodka and give it a mildly refreshing one and it tastes great too! It is quite strong, though!

lrm_export_20170201_000546_20170201001248508
Pink Guava and Cinova

They also have some crazy shots to pick from.

From the mocktails, we tried Pink Guava and Fresh Mandarin Mojito both of which were refreshing and well-made.

No no, don’t worry. We did not forget to write about the food and we definitely did not forget to eat! 😉

Here is what we tried at TRE:

LebMax Nachos: Pita instead of nacho was the twist in this dish. Pita was made a little crispy and was loaded with cheese, cheese-cream, bell peppers and spring onions.

img_20170128_193713_20170131100302551
LebMax Nachos

Aglio Olio Corn: Corn tossed in a spicy mixture with olive oil, garlic, coriander and lots of peppers. It was well presented in a glass bottle and the quantity was good. In our opinion, it would make for a great chakna – not heavy and yummy!

img_20170128_200716
Aglio Olio Corn

TRE Tandoori Tikka: Paneer, Mushrooms and Potato – these and a spicy gravy. Paneer lacked the touch and was a little chewy but potatoes and mushrooms were really good. Well marinated in the gravy.

img_20170128_194418_20170131100903667
TRE Tandoori Tikka

Papad Platter: Apparently one of their good sellers, it did not work its magic on us. The presentation was really good, but the papads and fryums were a tad too oily for our liking!

lrm_export_20170201_000747_20170201001202510

Stone Grill Rice: The rice is prepared on a stone and has a mild smokey flavour to it. It is on the drier side and is loaded with veggies. Good enough to be had alone and can be paired with some gravy too.

Overall Experience: Overall, TRE has a good ambience and decent food. The service is good too.
